Wayzata Country Club first opened for play in 1958. The course was designed by Robert B. Harris. Geoffrey Cornish and Brian Silva redesigned Wayzata Country Club Golf Course in 1985.

Wayzata Country Club Golf Course is regarded among the ten best courses in Minnesota. The course was built on hilly terrain and has tree-lined fairways. There are three greens and several tee boxes that are elevated. In addition, there are four lakes and a creek that come into play on six holes.
